Edgar Tellez Foster

I am an economist with a particular passion for the environment.

Currently working as a:

  • Senior Environmental Engineer at the Chino Basin Watermaster

  • Lecturer of Environmental Economics at the University of California Riverside

Starting out as a young boy in a poor area in Mexico City where water shortages were frequent I began to get interested in Environmental Issues. During my teen years, I became very much interested in Economics and how people make decisions. I entered the National Autonomous University of Mexico and my appetite for knowledge on how the economic system relates to the environmental problems was satiated.  My areas of Interest are:

  • Groundwater Economics

  • Behavioral Economics

  • Experimental Economics

My passion for water goes beyond academia; I am an enthusiast rower, swimmer and beach-goer, where I spent most of my free time.
